An opening interrupts the separation between two zones, but must remain usable for people, equipment or goods to pass through.
Treating an opening means extending the shielding across that interruption, without preventing passage.
What determines the treatment
The barrier is installed as strips or as a curtain over the opening. It can also be used as a continuous panel to create a flexible partition or to line a read tunnel.
The degree of transparency required determines the mesh incorporated: ISO 771 for the transparent version, ISO 770 for the opaque version.
Cutting and assembly are carried out to suit the configuration to be treated.
Product in this family
ISO 710, flexible RFID shielding barrier. Flexible PVC incorporating a conductive mesh. It maintains shielding continuity at an opening or a passageway that remains in use: entries and exits of RFID tunnels, passageways between stockroom and sales floor, technical openings that must remain usable.
Around the opening
An opening is part of the same boundary as the surface around it. Depending on the elements involved: · the wall containing the opening: see Walls · a viewing area or glazing to be preserved: see Transparent surfaces · a junction or a closure between two treated elements: see Junctions and interfaces · the conductive meshes incorporated in the barrier, available as materials: see Technical materials
