Transparent surfaces

Preserve a viewing area while controlling RFID reading.

A separation must retain a viewing area or allow light through.

Treating a transparent surface means preserving that viewing area while controlling RFID reading through it.

What determines the treatment

Does the viewing area already exist, or does it need to be created?

Glazing already in place is treated by applying an adhesive film to the existing surface.

A viewing area to be created in a door, a partition or an enclosure is treated with a rigid panel, which provides the mechanical strength required and is cut to project dimensions.

Products in this family

ISO 325, adhesive RFID shielding film. Multi-alloy adhesive film, light champagne tint, applied to existing glazing. Designed for treating existing glazing where a viewing area must be preserved: shop windows, glazed partitions between two read zones, inspection windows and technical windows.

ISO 711, rigid RFID shielding panel. Panel incorporating ISO 325 film between two rigid PVC sheets. It makes it possible to retain a viewing area within a shielded element: treated doors and partitions, inspection and viewing windows in read enclosures or cabinets, cladding of read stations.

Around the viewing area

A transparent surface is part of the same boundary as the elements around it. Depending on the configuration: · the wall it sits within: see Walls · an opening or a passageway that must remain usable: see Openings and passageways · a junction or a closure between two treated elements: see Junctions and interfaces · an enclosure or a read station to be fitted with a viewing area: see Enclosures and read zones
