frequently asked questions
ISO 3, shield
What is ISO 3 used for
ISO 3 is a laminated wallcovering that completely blocks RFID radio waves while allowing Wi‑Fi, GSM and home‑automation systems to operate.
Which frequency band is ISO 3 effective in
It is designed for the UHF RFID band, with attenuation measurements up to 61 dB between 860 and 980 MHz according to the IEEE 299 method.
Can ISO 3 be painted over
Yes, just like standard wallpaper.
What sizes are available
Rolls 99 cm wide by 50 m long.
What color is ISO 3
White.
What is ISO 3 made of
A laminate of paper, aluminum foil, PVC film and tear‑resistant paper.
Which adhesives do you recommend
METYLAN OVALIT TM, Caparol CapaColl GK, Gewebe Kleber, EUKALIN 1977 S, for strong adhesion to the substrate and between seams.
Is there an overlap requirement
Yes, a mandatory overlap of at least 2 cm between strips and a 10 cm return onto adjacent untreated surfaces. Any gap will let the signal pass.
Does the product have a fire rating
Yes, M1 rating valid for 5 years from 16 October 2025 when bonded to an M0 non‑insulating substrate. Durability indicated as “not limited a priori” according to NF P 92‑512.

ISO 13, counting bell
What is ISO 13 Cover Box used for
It is an RFID counting hood that confines reading to the items inside the parcel under the hood, delivering 100% accurate counts with no stray reads.
How does it work
The handheld reader is inserted through an elastic sleeve; the hood’s conductive mesh acts as a Faraday cage and blocks out-of-scope reads.
What are the use cases
Warehouse returns and store-to-store transfers: place the hood over the parcel and scan without counting items one by one.
What are the dimensions and weight
90 × 70 × 70 cm. Weight < 600 g.
What is it made of
Technical textile structure with integrated conductive mesh.
What is the shielding performance
Attenuation ≥ 60 dB from 10 MHz to 3 GHz (IEEE 299 method).
How do I use it
Lay the parcel flat, fully cover it with the hood, tuck the extra fabric under all four sides, insert the reader through the sleeve up to the wrist and scan. In basements or above a stockroom, use an insulating mat.
Precautions for use
Fold and store after use. As it relies on a Faraday cage, any tear will compromise performance: handle carefully.
Country of manufacture
Manufactured in Europe.
Storage and transport
Store dry, away from light, between −20 °C and +40 °C, RH ≤ 65%. Avoid heavy loads and shocks during transport.
Lead time for manufacturing and delivery
